I ordered a pair of my favorite garden shoes in the fall when it was raining buckets.
Sloggers are comfortable and waterproof and durable. Unfortunately, I experienced operator error when placing the order and ended up with the wrong size. Months later, as I get back to the task of returning them, I cannot find the receipt or the email confirming my online order.
So, if you wear a women's size 9 shoe, leave me a comment below about your favorite plant and I'll do a random drawing to give away the shoes. You have until midnight, Sunday night, January 10th to enter.
Good luck!
enter me please! That's my size! My favorite plant has to be pride of Barbados. Its tropical, it's tough, and it's gorgeous. And right behind that is your gorgeous moy grande hibiscus.
ReplyDeleteOh my I would love these, they are my size and I'm an avid Gardner. My favorite flower to grow are zinnias!
ReplyDeleteNot my size but they sure are cute. Good luck to someone else! A favorite? hahaha-- each one I see.
ReplyDeleteI wear a nine and would love to have them. My favorite plant?? That's really hard...but I'm going to go with Turks Cap. I love that it grows nearly everywhere, attracts wildlife with the pretty red flowers (hummingbirds-yeh!), and that the large leaves make it feel tropical.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've been reading your blog for awhile now and really enjoy it.
Oh please pick me! My garden shoes are so worn out they leak every time I walk on wet ground.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite plant right now is begonia. My beefsteak is looking amazing through the winter & my devil's wing is doing so very well too.
My puppy ate my garden clogs :( My favorite plant right now is cordyline!
ReplyDeleteI love tulips - something about them makes me so happy.

Oh I wear a size 9 and could really use these. Love them! My favorite plant is a Bearded Iris. So glad to have discovered your blog and look forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteI wear size 9, so please count me in. My favorite plant? That's a tough one, but I'm gonna say the purple coneflower.
ReplyDeleteHey, we wear the same shoe size! Choosing my favorite plant is a bit like a mother choosing her favorite child, but nothing makes me happier in springtime than freesia in bloom; blue-eyed grass is a very close second.
ReplyDeleteCute shoes! I've never heard of them so I'll have to look them up. I wear 8.5-9 so they'd work for me if my name comes up in the drawing. I echo your other commentators, it's hard to name a single favorite but the one that popped into my head as a long-time favorite is Leucadendron 'Wilson's Wonder' - it has a very different look in summer and winter but is impressive in both seasons.
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of those and enjoy them very much. I'll let someone else win the drawing, but thank you so much for visiting and commenting Diana. It means a lot to me.~~Dee
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is timely! I LOVE Sloggers and mine have certainly seen better days. And RED is my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteFavorite plant... that's SO hard! I do adore my toad lilies though. (Tricyrtis.) I'm even trying to grow them from seed this year. Our fall lasted well into November, so the seed pods had time to mature.
This is generous of you, Diana, to share your "mistake."
And the winner is ... KRIS! My darling daughter picked the number 12 this morning, so I will be sending you some garden shoes! Kris - please email me your contact info/address at diana c kirby at g mail dot com Congrats!
ReplyDeleteSo awesome, congrats, Kris. Mel at catesgarden
