My DH left on Tuesday, so it's just us girls for 6 days. I love it, but I am ready to get home, too, and just BE! We girls can't figure out how to reduce photo file sizes in Picasa to post or email, so no pics from here till we figure that out. My dh and I have a mac and she has a PC, so I may have to wait to catch up with pics when I get back. I have tons of garden photos to share!Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08681758051433522246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327638960016684551.post-90772049968806509472008-07-26T15:08:00.000-05:002008-07-26T15:08:00.000-05:00Am following all of your travels with envy. And reading about them and how long it took to build some of them, where generations of stone masons worked on the same projects.

Christine - the history is something isn't it? It's very humbling, really, and so nice to bring history to life.Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08681758051433522246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327638960016684551.post-16665581832213493112008-07-22T22:07:00.000-05:002008-07-22T22:07:00.000-05:00I am amazed at the age of some of the buildings in...I am amazed at the age of some of the buildings in other countries. We've been doing family for 2 days and I don't have any none family photos to post--I'm kinda sad ... because I have the TIME to post! More tomorrow tho!Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08681758051433522246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327638960016684551.post-21829849252506766222008-07-22T06:50:00.000-05:002008-07-22T06:50:00.000-05:00Well, if it ain't Baroque, don't fix it!Seriously,...Well, if it ain't Baroque, don't fix it!

Seriously, though, I love the facade of this church-- it's so very elegant. And speaking of the wealth of the Catholic church, have you ever been to the Vatican? Despite my many years of Catholic school and classes in Catholic history, I wasn't prepared for seeing the popes in St. Peter's on display like kings, dressed in jewels and fur. It was unbelievable.

Anyway, I'm enjoying your posts from Deutschland. You've reminded me of how they seem to have flowers spilling out everywhere you go. It's something I miss in Texas! :DLorihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16233060833186241702noreply@blogger.com
