But we do lose quite a bit in those rare times.

Jayne - Yep, that lantana can be a monster. I have whacked mine back three times this year and it's driving me crazy! But then again, it's growing and blooming - can't really complain about that!

Lisa - It is a dilemma sometimes to have plants that tolerate both the heat and the cold. And in the last few years, heat is really relative. I mean, 109 hot isn't what they mean when they say heat tolerant!Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08681758051433522246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327638960016684551.post-86684631695869365552012-07-03T19:14:28.487-05:002012-07-03T19:14:28.487-05:00Oh to have temps in the 80's. I just hope our garden survives. I could use some of your Xeric plants now. I have a few but I have to have some that will withstand our winters. A terrible combination. Not much to choose from. Have a happy 4th despite it all. I certainly intend to.Lisa at Greenbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743973292900758183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327638960016684551.post-20976820372492758012012-07-02T11:58:46.573-05:002012-07-02T11:58:46.573-05:00It's looking great Diana. Which is strange because it's things that were blooming last year, in our drought.Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09993407315693699146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327638960016684551.post-38346472425245445832012-07-02T10:59:33.953-05:002012-07-02T10:59:33.953-05:00Gorgeous. Some bright lantana around that and some skullcap would make a great bed. Let me know if you want any more info about the hardscape idea.

Layanee - They look great now, for sure.
