My mother-in-law always has the prettiest flowers in her gardens and pretty pots full of spillers, fillers and thrillers! I love to see Lantana -- a Texas staple -- growing happily here in Indiana.
I have enjoyed looking at your garden journal! Your love of gardening shows!! I am just starting out and begin my master gardener program in August through Travis county.
You picked a great time to go to Indiana, and your mother-in-law's garden looks wonderful. It must make a nice change to be outside without without sweating.
Lisa -- She always does - and I'm loving the cool weather.
Janet -- She always has beautiful sedums -- and they come back after snowy winters, too.
Hocking Hills -- I wish I had some lilies in those colors, they are so pretty.
Amy - Welcome and thanks for visiting my blog. Have a ball with the MG program -- it is so fun and so chock-full of information. I loved taking it -- you'll have to keep me posted and let me know how you like it.
MMD -- it was 52 here one morning and wonderful. We are so enjoying the cooler temps. But I am already dreading going home Sat -- we have 100s forecast for the next 2 weeks. Sigh.
Gail -- We even saw rain in Kentucky this morning when we drove out to return to IN. Drove in it for 3 hours!
Layanee -- We don't want to be hogging summer, we'd be happy to share -- really, we would!
Cindy -- I sure wish I could bring some home. We just got out water bill and something is gonna have to die!

Welcome
Thanks for visiting my blog
I'm glad you've found my garden journal. Perhaps the only thing greater than the satisfaction of nurturing a seed to a seedling to a blooming or producing plant is the joy of sharing nature's bounty with others. Whether I'm peddling garden tomatoes we can't possibly eat or sharing stories about why the verbena isn't doing well, my garden connects me. It connects me to the earth, to our wildlife friends, to fellow gardeners, and, to myself. So, welcome. I hope you'll feel connected here.

The daylilies are in full force here also and today, rain and 60's. Texas is hogging summer.
I love that second daylily! Enjoy the cooler, greener clime of Indiana extra for those of us still down here in Texas suffering from the heat!
Autumn Belle - thanks!
