Nothing, Diana, nothing at all. It was 103F here in OK, but a cool front came in finally last night after over a week of this. I'm sending that cooling air down to you. I'm so sorry.~~Dee
Gail -- it's gonna be a long, hot summer, that's for sure now! But I've heard of parts of the country where they have no warm weather yet, so I'd rather have this!
Dee -- looks like you might get some rain today, too. I'm listening to thunder this morning and hoping a few of those showers drop down far enough to bring us a little bit. Thanks for the karma!

Happy gardening!
Welcome
Thanks for visiting my blog
I'm glad you've found my garden journal. Perhaps the only thing greater than the satisfaction of nurturing a seed to a seedling to a blooming or producing plant is the joy of sharing nature's bounty with others. Whether I'm peddling garden tomatoes we can't possibly eat or sharing stories about why the verbena isn't doing well, my garden connects me. It connects me to the earth, to our wildlife friends, to fellow gardeners, and, to myself. So, welcome. I hope you'll feel connected here.

Damn!
I know, right?!! It's JUNE!!!!!!!
That's too hot.
we really need some rain...too hot!
I'll say it again. YIKES.
I was in my shop today cutting out a scene for a gate--- with an Oxy acetelyne torch. I guess I went daft or something, just making more heat, ugh.
Our heat index was 101. Too hot for June. Too hot for any time. 107 is unbelieveable. I don't know how you stand it. Yes I do. AC.
Diana, my digital thermometer read 104.6 yesterday. I'm seriously worried about what July & August will bring!
Carol -- it is WAY too hot. But I hear you have it hot, too. My weather station showed a heat alert for you guys yesterday, too.
Cat - Oh, rain is just too much to ask for at this point!
Debbi -- it sure makes gardening hard!
Bob -- Hmmm...daft might be a good description for use of a torch in this heat~!!! I hope you are working with water today!
Lisa -- You guys had better cool down - I am expecting a cool break when I go up there in July!
Cindy -- I know. I can handle a short "wave" but all Summer of this terrifies me!
Oh, my, that's hotter than blue blazes! That makes my 94 sound paltry. My sympathy.
It's just wrong, isn't it?
MMD -- Well, no, 94 is still darn hot, if you ask me. It's so exhausting though. Any little work outside in the morning still wears you out.
Robin -- It IS wrong. And what's even "more wrong" is that it's likely to continue...for a lonnnnng time. Ugh.
This is just way too early. I can't take it anymore. Love Carol's understated comment! :-)
Jean--it is months too early ! And yes, that's our understated Carol, isn't it?!
That is not good Diana, not good at all...gail
