5 sheets and 18 beach towels...

Well, after all the Chicken Little and the-sky-is-falling-warnings, the much-worried about freeze didn't happen this weekend. Thank goodness.

We only got to 42 on Sunday morning.

But I was ready. Perhaps foolish...but ready.

And now I will be doing laundry.

5 king-sized sheets and 18 beach towels.

Ugh.

Good for you to be ready! What is it that Ben Franklin said? Penny wise pound foolish?

Better safe than sorry. Sorry about the laundry though!

I've had to do that the last two years due to late frosts. I might just wait an extra week this year and hope that's enough.

Janet -- Yes, I am wise beyond my years, and the laundry it is up to my ears!

Garden Girl --Ha! I think I am going to follow your lead and blog about this date specifically and then make myself wait an extra week!

The things we do for our plants...I wonder if they're grateful? :)

We had a fairly good frost this morning. All seemed to fair well because it warmed up today. Better safe than sorry.

Sherri - They'd better be grateful!!!!

Lisa -- It warmed up here today, too. 78 for the high. I planted a few dead bulbs from an indoor pot into the garden in 3 spots. Daffodils and Hyacinths. What a delight it will be when they come up next spring.

LOL, Diana! I covered up my favorites and told the rest they needed to just toughen up a bit! I'm sure they'll have self esteem issues as they get older, but I'll bring in a good therapist for them when they are ready. I hope we are done for the year with the blankets and towels and sheets and chaos.

GetGrounded - Yeah, really. I cry if I weren't laughing at all this foolishness. Did you make it Zilker? I am sitting here about to post my photos about it in a few minutes.
