Spring thinks it has sprung!

Oh, I know we're ahead of the curve here in Central Texas, and it isn't really Spring here quite yet, either, but Miss Daffodil thinks it is.

She's got her party hat on and she's ready for her friends to join her, but I think even the closest ones are another week or more away. She'll just have to dance in these gusty winds all by herself.

And this is Miss Maggie - from my newest rose bushes. She is really lovely, and she smells so wonderful -- wish you had a scratch and sniff computer screen! She's in a bowl in my kitchen.

Not here it hasn't Diana! But I'll enjoy your daffodil with you quite happily, and that rose is just glorious. Shall I send a little snow your way?

Sure, Jodi -- send us some snow. We'd love to have a little bit, but just a little, now! I know you're tired of it -- I would be, too. I hope it thaws soon.

Hey hey I would want some snow too. Can you send it here. And some daffodils, too! I would love them in my garden ...

Blossom - glad you can enjoy the daffodils here since you don't have them in your garden.

Your spritely little daff is so cheerful. I think I can smell the rose.

Diana, since you are a Daffodil, it is very apropos that you share your first daffy that blooms.

Wouldn't a scratch and sniff computer screen be splendid? Love the color of that rose.~~Dee

Lisa -- it is the most fragrant rose I've ever had the pleasure of sniffing!

Janet -- it does seem right, doesn't it? They are my faves and I was thrilled that it is what I turned out to be in the quiz!

Dee -- who knows? With all this technology, we might have scratch and sniff one day!

I just love that feeling you get when the first daffodil blooms! Enjoy your spring, and I'm hoping you'll get some rain to go along with it!

It would be wonderful to be able to take a deep breath of a rose right now...yours looks gorgeous~~ Yesterday I walked into a store and they had daffodils everywhere...with that great daf scent...so I can easily imagine that soon your yard will smell of roses and daffodils... heady isn't it! gail

Carol - we sure could use some of your run-off water -- wish you could ship us some. I'm sure you were glad to be in the 40s for a change, weren't you?

Gail -- My daffodil isn't very fragrant...guess I need to get right down there on the ground and put my nose next to her. It reminds me that Spring is as much about the fresh, green smells in the air as it is the new buds and blooms.
