Haircuts all around ...

Pretty pruning for plants at my house today. Everyone got their Spring-Spiff-Up to get ready for budding and blooming.   Above is the Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha)

Loropetalum
Guara
Salvia black and blue
Lantana confetti
Pink Skullcap
Lantana new gold
Mexican mint marigold

Haircuts are so important to one's good looks! I might need to give my loropetalum a trim..it's looking shaggy. gail

Your garden was showing clear signs of spring today, as is mine. Doesn't it feel great to have gotten those haircuts out of the way, so new spring growth can show to best effect?

Gail -- Yes, everyone needed a good trim. My garden looks like a completely different place today!

Pam -- I know all the plants are happy and ready to grow ... but at least one thermometer is showing me 33 this morning -- yikes!

Oh Diana, two things: I wish we were at this stage in our gardens here in the north and I wish we could grow such lovely things as perennials instead of annuals!

Kylee -- it really won't be long now will it, now that it's almost March? When is your typical last frost date?

Are you ready for this? Last frost is the middle of May, but I push it sometimes. Have I been burned? Yep, but only a couple of times.

Here in Belgium, I'm still waiting a few weeks before I dare to imitate the hairdresser...
