I think I can, I think I can...

I think I can bloom, I think I can!

See the little bud forming there in the middle?

It won't be long -- and we will have our very first daffodil of 2009.

Isn't that exciting?

Makes my day.

NOOOOOOOOO! Not yet! It's so unfair....snif, snif...

Seriously though...what a wonderful sight for winter-weary eyes, Diana. I can't wait to witness the bloom with you.

Yeah, I've got the same thing going on in my flower beds.

How lucky you are to almost have spring blooms. I'll be waiting to see the beautiful bloom.

Jodi - I know it's too early for you, but I thought I'd take you along for the ride. It's got a while to go yet, but I will keep you posted. They are my favorites.

Lisa - And with your true winters, you can grow bulbs there that we can't, like tulips. It just doesn't get cold enough here for them.

Muddy Boot Dreams - oh, you made me laugh. Were you watching me? I DO talk to my plants!

Debbi - Isn't it great to see them coming up? Do you have other kinds of bulbs, too?

Crafty Gardener - I'll be back out there taking pictures as soon as she starts showing off!

Ah, yes. A fabulously exciting site...and one I won't see for some time to come. Unless I come visit you, that is!

Your mud room looks great. Is your guest room ready?

Robiin -- at the rate that daffodil is going, it may be a summer bloom! And my guest room is always ready -- in fact, I have two, and you're welcome any time you want some sunshine.
